The brief from EAEPL was to break into a conventional yet modern office setup. The office did demand for cabins and meeting rooms with some open office area, so the challenge was to give this space the openness and not letting the enclosures overpower the expanse that was available.
So, we, at CRD, conceptualized the design to make sure the periphery looks seamless with the same geometry and aesthetic. We opened up the space by using maximum glass and kept the ceiling as high as possible at a single level. This would make the workstation core look bigger with the eastern desirable light flowing in through the full height glazing.
Another challenge was the reception area which was accessible through a long narrow corridor. We had to make it look grand with the restricted widths, so we decided to create a focal point right at the entrance. Toning up the backdrop with a strong but neutral texture with a backlit logo flanged by mirrors gave a depth and a highlight to the space. The narrow entry was made to look welcoming with the use of back-painted glass with gold inlays and shimmer wallpaper with abstract artworks. The aesthetic had neutral colors with pops of vibrant colors showing in the fabrics of the workstations and softboards. This added a glimpse modernity to the space.

The office was to welcome customers and clients; hence the design demanded some gloss that highlights the aesthetics to conserve the conventional décor, hence, the use of gold inlays in modern designs. Corian tables to give a perfect finishes and shapes, and paneling details to camouflage the services and washroom doors were incorporated to add finesse. As the space had restrictions to accommodate a number of meeting rooms, we used a simple yet soundproof sliding folding partition into a larger conference so that it could be used as two different meeting rooms when required.
The appreciation received from the client and their clients helped us to prove our niche as a design and build company making EAEPL a repeat client.
