One brand name known to all, and what an opportunity to be a part of their team! After the pandemic when tourism business was hit the most, Thomas cook initiated its rise as soon as people started to travel. Welcoming the change to Thomas Cook India, the client redefined its strategy in marketing, and we being offered the part as design partners was an achievement in itself. We won the bid to showcase a design to suit their expansions and then there was no looking back.

We had the privilege to design their Forex Counters across leading airports which also had established their international terminals, like Delhi and Goa. Working with the Airport Authority and the Thomas Cook team, to achieve the right designs based on the guidelines of the airport was another learning experience in retail designing. Materials and elements that could highlight the counter amidst the crowd yet become a low maintenance set-up helped us to expertise the definition of functionality vs aesthetics.

The counter was made with corian to form a sturdy, seamless and a comfortable surface for employees and customers, with varying heights to suit each. Indirect lights that highlighted the counter and the backdrops also made the golden inlay gleam to catch the eye. The highlights were the golden world map on a white globe that gave an illusion of supporting spheres to the counter. The dynamism and the right combination of the brand colors through wallpapers and paints, made the structure standout. The concept was to have a band of motif that meets the eye as a contrast, which will depict the regional art of the state.
After getting to know the DNA of the brand, we are now proudly assisting them with the redesigning of their retail stores across India. Working with Thomas Cook gave us a push to enter into yet another retail type, broadening our canvas to take up a variety of designing tasks.
